Established in 1960, Assumption Academy of Monkayo, Inc. has served the families of Monkayo, Davao de Oro for more than sixty years. What began as a small Catholic school has grown into a complete learning community offering Junior High and Senior High education.
Guided by the example of Our Lady of the Assumption, the academy remains committed to forming students who are competent, compassionate, and faithful — ready to lead and serve in a changing world.

In line with its mission statement, our students shall be able to:
- Manifest Christian values and attitudes, basic knowledge, and skill through various curricular offerings and co-curricular activities.
- Become aware of their dignity as persons and live as witnesses of love and service to others.
- Manifest physical, mental, and emotional health as well as spiritual, social, cultural, and aesthetic value by actively participating in religious and liturgical activities such as Eucharistic celebrations, retreats, recollections, and other devotions.
- Show concern and readiness to willingly engage in community-oriented activities.
- Actively participate in the Basic Ecclesial Communities and other spiritual formation programs to deepen faith.
